Manual Therapy
This treatment is provided by a skilled and licensed physical therapist to decrease pain, improve tissue and joint mobility. This includes spine and joint mobilizations through manipulation using a hands-on approach to treat the whole body.
Manual therapy will improve your body alignment by increasing your flexibility, range of motion, body awareness, and overall functional mobility. The body will respond better to specific exercises once one’s alignment and awareness improve.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial release is a hands-on approach to assess, evaluate, and treat the whole body. This technique decreases pain and improves the musculoskeletal system’s functional mobility.
The goal of this is to make changes in the fascial system by allowing the body to move freely. The fascial system can be damaged by injuries, years of poor posture and alignment. This causes an increase in the tightening of the three-dimensional alignment causing a biochemical problem with the joints and issues resulting in pain.
The fascial system has 9 times more nerves and can be the primary source of your pain. By releasing the fascia system around your joints, tissues, circulatory system, and lymphatic system it will give you pain relief and the ability to move more freely. By restoring the fascia’s mobility and alignment it will improve the transmission of the body’s healing bioelectrical currents. This will also improve your energy and the mind-body connection.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization ” IASTM”
This technique will improve fascia mobility by using fascial tools designed to provide direct mechanical manipulation of the congested, restricted, and irregular tissues of the body. The technique used will help relax any tight muscles you have.
Craniosacral Release
This treatment is done while sitting, standing, or laying on a treatment table, to help release the fascia that causes body malalignment. This treatment helps with muscle spasms, extradural restrictions, fascial restrictions, and imbalances. The fascial system can pull on the coverings of the nervous system which overwhelms the system causing pain by compressing the joints, soft tissues, nervous system, circulatory system, organs, and lymphatic system. It affects the entire body. Improving your body’s alignment and mobility by removing the restrictions and correcting the balance within these systems allows the central nervous system and brain to function at its best. The unwinding of the tissues will continue following the treatment due to the mind-body connection.
Kinesiology Tape
The Kinesio tape has been proven to provide support to the tissues and allow movement without being restricted. When used following a treatment it continues to have positive effects on the tissues allowing the treatment to continue. The tape gives pain relief by decompressing the tissues and provides a constant sensory stimulus allowing the muscles to activate more efficiently. The Kinesio tape helps you be more aware of your posture and how your body moves.
Orthotic Insoles
During the evaluation, your posture and feet are assessed. This is because your feet are the foundation of your body. If your feet roll in or they don’t contact the ground as they should then it will cause changes in your body alignment resulting in pain throughout your body. If this is the case then you might be a good candidate for Sole Support.
